perhaps we can multiply the plausibility ranks of the moves
in a human chess analysis of a position to get an estimate
of the number of positions a given chess algorithm would have
to examine in order to duplicate the human analysis. This might
prove a sophisticated tool for evaluating plausible move generators.

Problem for next few meetings: What form should heuristic advice
take?

Creary needs examples of heuristic advice.

"Broken thermostats knock" is different from the statement "The
only thing that can block water flow are the water pump and the
thermostat."
